ESCANABA – Two new lambs were born at the U.P. State Fair last night. A crowd gathered at the Miracle of Life pavilion to watch Jenny give birth to twins.
Katie Bell, a Michigan State University veterinarian student, said the lambs are doing great.
“There is already one standing and she was born just five minutes ago. It’s pretty exciting to watch,” Bell said. “I was really glad the crowd was here to see the first steps because it’s really exciting to see that.”
Several lambs have been so far this week. Bell said the Miracle of Life exhibit is a great opportunity to learn about the cycle of life.
“People want to see things brought into this world. It’s a very curious subject. It’s an interesting subject and one we should all be familiar with because it’s how we all get here,” said Bell.
