Run for Joe marks start of Memorial Day in Rapid River
RAPID RIVER – The 7th Annual 5K Memorial Day Run/Walk in memory of Corporal Joe Micks of Rapid River will be held Monday. Micks was killed in action while serving in the U.S. Army in Iraq.

A program was held at 11 a.m. at the Gardens of Rest Cemetery in Escanaba. “They sought neither fortune nor fame.
