DATA looking for millage approval in four Delta County townships
ESCANABA — Four townships in Delta County will be voting on a millage to fund public bus service in the August 7 election. The half mill request for five years in Escanaba Township is a renewal. Bark River, Cornell and Bay de Noc Townships are being asked if they want bus service with the same request.

Voters to consider senior services millage renewal in Delta County
ESCANABA – The renewal of a senior services millage for programs at the Menominee Delta Schoolcraft Community Action Agency is on the August 7 ballot in Delta County. They are asking for .8 mills for 10 years. Director Julie Moberg said the proposal is a slight increase over the current millage. “The miniumn wage has gone up. Our meal runners don’t make a huge amount of money but we’ve had to deal with the miniumn wage laws and that increase. We have gasoline we have to buy.
