ESCANABA – The Escanaba Eskymos Quarterback Club will recognize six people Friday that played a major role in Escanaba high school football. Rusty Bluse says they will be added to the Wall of Fame under the grandstands.
“Just before halftime we will call them down to the sidelines. As the band exists the field we will bring this group on and will individually recognize each one of them,” Blue said.
The group includes Frank Berres who has been cheering on the Eskymos for years with his megaphone. Also enshrined will be Gary Seehafer, James Clairmont, Brian Franks, Tom Kangas and Herman Meithe. Meithe was a football player from the 1920s known as “Herman the Great”.
Each inductee will receive a copy of the plaque that will be placed on the wall.
