MARQUETTE – The Marquette Royales will host the franchise’s inaugural Main Tryout Camp, Aug. 24-25 at the Berry Events Center on the campus of Northern Michigan University.
The camp is the first opportunity for Marquette County to catch a glimpse of the Minnesota Junior Hockey League’s newest franchise. The Royales will call Lakeview Arena home during the regular season. Roughly 30 players, signed and unsigned will be on hand to try and earn or solidify a place on the Royales 2013-14 roster.

About the Royales:
Named for a historic National Park just north of Marquette, MI on Lake Superior, the Marquette Royales enter the 2013-14 season with high expectations. With Stanaway and Cook at the helm, the Royales aren’t entering their first year looking to get their feet wet; the Royales are looking to win a MNJHL title.
