ESCANABA – Escanaba Public Safety is asking the public for assistance in identifying the person responsible for the armed robbery of People’s Drug Store.
The suspect is described as a white male, early 20’s, 5’10” tall, slender or slim build and brown hair. Escanaba Public Safety is also asking for assistance in trying to locate and identify a late 1990’s to early 2000’s Chevy or GMC style extended cab pickup, dark green in color with a loud exhaust and rear bumper “folded” upward toward the box of the truck.
A reward up to a $10,000.00 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons involved.

The armed robbery occurred about 2 p.m. Wednesday at 1208 Ludington Street. Police secured the area and started a search of the building. No one was found. Several blocks on Ludington Street and 1st Avenue North were blocked off for about four hours during the investigation.
In the surveillance photo the suspect can be seen holding a handgun. A second photo 30 seconds later shows product left on the counter and a person holding a bag as the suspect leaves.
