The Dead Pigeons are playing Friday night at the Bonifas Arts Center. It’s group from the Duluth, Minnesota, area that Wendy Pepin with Blues for Cause says plays Americana folk music.

She first heard the lead singer in Marquette and then brought the group to play a small concert at a former church she owns in Wilson.

“I was just so taken by the songs, the lyrics — I really like lyrics — and his voice. I talked with him and found out he was with this group called the Dead Pigeons and later looked them up. The first time heard the full band was up at the church when I had them,” said Pepin.

The concert starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are available online or at the door.
