MARQUETTE – Each year, the members of Operation Action U.P. (OAUP) and the business community from across Michigan’s Upper Peninsula gather to celebrate the accomplishments of businesses and share in their success. The OAUP 50th Anniversary Annual meeting will take place on January 21 in the Great Lakes Rooms of the University Center at Northern Michigan University. The day begins with networking and registration at 8 a.m. and will conclude after lunch.
The theme of this year’s Operation Action U.P. Annual Meeting is “Energizing Our Future.” The keynote address will be given by John Hofmeister, the Founder and CEO of Citizens for Affordable Energy, former President of Shell Oil Company and the author of “Why We Hate The Oil Companies: Straight talk from an energy insider.”
John Hofmeister is a leader with a unique perspective on not only the oil industry, but on the nation’s energy situation as a whole. He is a highly sought after presenter, pundit, writer, energy and leadership expert. His greatest gift is that in his speaking and writing he connects with every man and woman in this country with straightforward talk and understandable writing.
