IRONWOOD – An update on storm damage caused by a tornado and severe flooding this summer in the western Upper Peninsula, the Aquila/Manistique Dam, and an education program at Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park are all on the schedule Thursday, Sept. 8, for the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Ironwood.
DNR Director Keith Creagh is also expected to restrict the use of motorized vehicles on three Upper Peninsula Grouse Enhanced Management Sites.
The NRC also will receive presentations on a potential future land exchange with a mining company in the Upper Peninsula and receive a status report on Upper Peninsula brook trout streams that have a 10-fish daily creel limit.
The meeting will be held at Gogebic Community College’s David Lindquist Student and Conference Center at 1 p.m. central time.
