PARADISE – The Michigan Department of Transportation and Chippewa County Road Commission are replacing two culverts on M-123 west of Paradise. The construction is expected to begin at 6 a.m. Monday, Sept. 9 and be completed by 4:30 p.m. Sept. 12.
The project will require lane closures, according to James Lake, MDOT spokesman. It will also have a 12-foot wide restriction on vehicles.
The American Transmission Company will also begin replacing overhead electrical transmission lines Monday that cross I-75. The project will be about 3 miles north of the M-123 exit in Mackinac County.
This work will require occasional traffic stops with delays of 10 minutes or less, Lake said.
It is expected to be completed by Friday, Sept. 13.
