MARQUETTE – A 25-year-old Ishpeming woman died Monday afternoon in a single vehicle accident in Marquette County.

The accident occurred at 12:40 p.m. on U.S. 41 and Brickyard Road in Marquette Township. The Michigan State Police say Becky Kinney, 25, of Ishpeming was traveling south when the pickup truck she was driving crossed the centerline and left the road on the east shoulder of U.S. 41.

The truck became airborne and hit an embankment. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

She was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
