SAULT STE. MARIE — The Escanaba Eskymos cruised by the Sault Blue Devils 35-8 Friday night at A. J. VanCitters Field. The Eskymos remain unbeaten at 5-0. The Blue Devils fall to 1-4.
Sault Ste. Marie did not score until the final minutes of the game, avoiding a shutout.
Escanaba led at halftime 14-0. They took control in the second half, scoring during their first three possessions.
Escanaba’s defense again stepped up, causing four turnovers in the game.

Both teams have homecoming games next Friday. The Blue Devils host the Gladstone Braves. Escanaba hosts the Menominee Maroons.
