HARRIS – Pisces Industries was named Business of the Year Thursday night at the Delta Chamber of Commerce annual dinner. The company manufactures fish processing equipment that is sold all over the world.
The Delta Chamber recognized businesses and community leaders during the event at the Island Resort & Casino. It included the installation of new officers and board members.

Excellence in Customer Service was awarded to Richard’s Printing in Escanaba. The third generation business was credited for the service they provided to the Esky 150 committee this year.
The Century Award was given to the Crawford Funeral Home. The Community Foundation of Delta County was presented with the Philanthropy Award.
Deb Millican was presented with the Athena Award which recognizes the role of women in the community.
Bill and Janet LaMarch were named volunteers of the year. Robert Viau of the Escanaba Schools and Gary Brayak at the Mid Peninsula School were presented with Excellence in Education awards. And Jessica Beauchamp was given a Bay College Scholarship.
More than 300 people attended the chamber event which included the graduation of 20 people in the Delta Force Leadership program.

The theme was built on Escanaba’s sesquicentennial celebration. The setting was an elegant picnic of the 1860s in Ludington Park. Vickie Micheau, executive director of the Delta Chamber, said the program highlighted the sense of teamwork that brought everyone together to celebrate Escanaba’s sesquicentennial.
