Six generations operate funeral home for 150 years in Upper Peninsula
ESCANABA – Don Crawford’s Great Grandfather went to Hancock as a cabinet maker in 1863 at the start of the copper boom. He started working as an undertaker because he could make caskets. The family has continued to run the business for 150 years.

Printer credited for customer service strives to keep up with technology
ESCANABA – The printing business has changed dramatically since Jeff Richards’ grandfather bought the job shop from the Daily Press and opened Richards Printing in Escanaba. The company was honored last week for its customer service in the community at the Delta Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner.

Online business opens brick and motar store in Escanaba
ESCANABA – A business in Escanaba is holding a grand opening Saturday at its new store at the Lofts on Ludington. Owner Krista Starz says she plans to keep Click Cabinets as an online business but also wants to offer a physical presence in the community.
