ISHPEMING – A Marquette man was caught breaking into a business in Ishpeming early Tuesday morning. The Ishpeming City Police say 33-year-old James William Haack was caught inside Eliane’s Place & Catering at 208 Vine Street after a silent alarm went off at 1:17 a.m.
He is charged with breaking and entering a building with intent and possession of burglar tools. Both are 10 year felonies.
Police say they allegedly found Haack with burglar tools at the scene. They also found signs that the business had been broken into.
Haack was arraigned in 96th District Court. He is being held at the Marquette County Jail on $10-thousand bond on each count. A preliminary examination is scheduled for Set. 17 at 10:30 a.m. in Ishpeming District Court.
Ishpeming officers were assisted by the Negaunee Police Department and Michigan State Police.
