Ribbon cutting ceremony held for Gladstone’s Little Bay de Noc Trail
GLADSTONE — A ribbon cutting yesterday officially opened the Little Bay de Noc Trail and Trailhead at Van Cleve Park in Gladstone. Gladstone Parks and Recreation Director Nicole Sanderson said she appreciates that the community has embraced the 2.5 mille long trail that runs along the Little Bay de Noc shore.

Rainfall closes campgrounds at Baraga, Porcupine Mountains state parks
BARAGA — Significant rainfall over several days has forced the early closure of campgrounds at Baraga State Park in Baraga County and Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park in Ontonagon County. The modern campgrounds at both parks were closed Wednesday for the remainder of the season.

Students give back to community in Bay College’s Day of Service
ESCANABA — Friday was a Day of Service for students at Bay College. Students and staff spent the day volunteering at several non-profit organizations. Board of Trustee Stephen Davis told the volunteers that providing service is a way of connecting with the community.
